Britain’s Got Talent is one of Ash Gaming’s branded productions, a slot machine which is based on a famous TV show that was so popular that it turned into a worldwide franchise, enjoyed by people from countries like France, Russia, Australia or United States, to mention just a couple of them.
Game wise, it’s a standard slot with 5 reels and 20 active lines, a setup that we’ve seen often. It’s exciting to play since it can pay $50,000 through a single combo, but it also uses wilds, scatters, free spins and the Live Show Bonus to make things interesting.
Betting
The bets involved in Britain’s Got Talent aren’t particularly difficult to figure out. They have two settings, for the Lines and the Line Bet. Each one is customized within the limits placed by the game. The lines go from 1 to 20, while the line bet is $0.01 to $5. That gives you the option to place a bet of $100 at its highest.

This is one of those games where a big reward can come from the slot’s own symbols, not just through features or multipliers. A combo of five Wild Britain Flags will pay 10,000 coins to you, which means that winning $50,000 from one line is possible. The free spins appear to be giving you the best chance of triggering such a reward, since sticky wilds are part of the feature.
That’s not the highest potential of the game though. The Live Show Bonus has rewards of up to 1125x the bet to give away, which gets you paid up to $112,500.
With branded slot machines, the extra money being spent on paying for the license has to come from somewhere, and it tends to be the player that gets the pleasure of covering the bill. The RTP suffers in Britain’s Got Talent, and at 92.50% it’s too low for the game to be a solution for anyone.

There is big potential in the features offered by Britain’s Got Talent, so the slot can get exciting with a bit of luck.
Wild Symbols
The British Flag is set up as the wild feature of the game. You use symbols of this type in a couple of ways. The preferred one is in their own combo, as up to five wilds will pay 10,000x and that could mean $50,000 cash. The alternative, and the one you’re going to encounter usually, is in another symbol’s combo. At that point you’d be using it as a replacement for a missing symbol, but that’s still good since without it you wouldn’t get that win.
Free Spins
There is a Star symbol, which is actually marked Free Spins at the bottom. That’s your scatter that triggers free spins, whenever it appears simultaneously on reels 2, 4 and 5. Each of these symbols reveal a number, and when they’re added together they tell you how many free spins you triggered. The maximum number is 20.
At random, you will see the Game Logo appearing on the screen and dropping wilds. These will be locked wilds, which you get to use for the entire duration of the feature.
Live Show Bonus
It wouldn’t be a proper branded slot machine, if it didn’t use the TV show as a basis for one of its major features. Activating the Live Show requires a scattered Britain’s Got Talent Bonus icon on the columns 1, 3 and 5.
The first choice you face is that of the act you want to perform, picking between Novelty, Dance and Musical. You will spin a wheel then and find out who is going to be your representative in the feature. You advance through auditions and hopefully reach the semi-finals, and then you try for the finals. The biggest rewards reach 1125x the bet.
Design
With one of the world’s most popular TV shows as inspiration, Britain’s Got Talent gives you good reasons to like what it has to offer. The graphics used for the game area are often inspired by Britain in some way, with the flag appearing in wilds, bonus symbols and in the background image. I haven’t found the symbols to be that interesting though. You don’t see any of the judges or contestants, just silhouettes of people singing, dancing or juggling.
Summary
If it wasn’t for the low RTP, it could’ve been a good slot machine. As it is, I’d recommend it only to the fans of the show, particularly for the themed bonus game and its ultra high rewards.
