Inspired by the dedicated sleigh dogs of the northern regions of North America, Wild Huskies is one of the Bally slot machines, so it’s coming from one of the most experienced developers of such games that’s still active today.
As much as $25,000 may be won through the best-paying single combinations delivered in Wild Huskies, while $1,000,000 is the most you’d be able to win from a wilds-filled screen. The game offers several of the regular features you tend to see, such as wilds, scatters, free spins or simple picking bonus games, so it’s not as advanced as some of the other Bally releases. Layout wise, it has a relatively common 5×4 reels with 40 lines, which is often enough found in this developer’s titles.
The same common type of action is visible in the way the bets are designed, with the lines being fixed and only the line bet changing. It’s similar in other Bally slots with 40 lines, and it starts at $0.40 and can reach $400 for the total bet. The corresponding bet per line will be $0.01 to $10.
Wild Huskies Jackpot
Look for the Wild Dog, to find the symbol that will pay the highest amount of $25,000 (2,500 coins). Given the stacked nature of this symbol, it’s not out of the question that you’d get a screen filled with these wilds, and get paid up to $1,000,000 as a result (2,500x total stake).
Despite the high potential, Wild Huskies doesn’t deliver a very high Return to Player, the percentage calculated by the developer being announced at 93.98%.
You don’t get all that many features in Wild Huskies, or anything unique out of them, but there will be something fun and exciting in each one, so they’re not coming in basic versions.
Stacked Wild Symbols
One example of a symbol that can get exciting quickly is the stacked Wild Dog. Symbols which are allowed to appear on all reels, the Wild Dogs will form combinations by themselves whenever they can, so they can end up paying the top prize of $25,000 this way. Other times, they are only used as replacement symbols, and can get you some kind of smaller win. The cool thing about it is that this is a stacked symbol, and so they come in four at a time. With some luck, you will get all of them on the reel, contributing to all 40 lines if they can.
You don’t get a lot of free spins from this feature, but 3 rounds that you don’t pay for are still something. You need three scattered Free Game symbols, to reach that point. It’s understandable why they didn’t want to give the player a lot of free spins, once you find out that the pays are tripled inside. The free spins can be re-triggered, and up to 50 rounds may be played each time you trigger this feature.
The final feature will come in the form of a Pick Bonus Game, triggered via its own Bonus symbols on the reels 2, 3 and 4. You have to choose a symbol, to get a prize from it which can reach 100x the stake.
Depending on your preferences, the theme might be interesting to some, with its focus on Husky sleigh dogs. The implementation is on the average side if it’s compared with the typical modern slot machine you see at other online casinos. It has several symbols showing these dogs, alone or together, while others show things like snowflakes, logos or Royals.
Wild Huskies can pay quite well, but I’ll leave it up to you to decide if it’s worth playing for its potential alone. I for one wasn’t happy with the RTP, which is below 94%.
