Cash and gambling go well together, and Cashino aims to use both for its theme. It’s a Barcrest slot that features cartoon style graphics and gambling related icons for its highest paying positions on the reels. With impressive rewards and several exciting features to trigger, it’s a slot that offers quite a bit.
Up to 20 active lines will be deployed over the 5 reels of Cashino. It pays an incredible $250,000 from a single winning combination, but it also uses wild symbols, three types of scatters, a Card Bonus, Roulette Wheel Bonus and Free Spins, so you never get bored.
While other games from Barcrest tend to keep their lines fixed, in Cashino you get control over this part as well. 1 to 20 active lines are going to be used, and then the stake per line will vary considerably, between $0.01 and $25. That way, you can get away with a bet as small as $0.01, or you could go full high-roller mode and spin the reels at a cost of $500 per round.
The bad news here is that the game is limited by the developer, to paying at most $250,000 in a single round. The good news is that you can get that payout from a single winning combination, provided that you’re using the maximum bet. The 10,000x jackpot that’s paid by a combo of five Wild Jokers is going to be worth that $250,000. Of course, all the other combinations are at much lower values, the one coming closest paying only 500x.
The Return to Player will tell you what percentage of the money invested in a slot machine gets back to the player, as winnings, over the entire life of a game. It’s considered a good number at 96% or above, and that’s where a lot of online slot machines are at these days. Cashino offers only 95%, which is OK, but not in line with its best competitors.
I liked the mix of features available in Cashino, as well as their number, since you have plenty to keep you busy. The theme is certainly not going to do that, so the features might be enough to keep you playing.
I’ve mentioned it before, but the wild Joker is the symbol that will pay the highest amount in the game. A combo of five Jokers that occupy a line will pay the 10,000x jackpot. Smaller wins are delivered for as few as two Joker Wilds appearing left to right on a line. Of course, you also use this symbol as the game’s substitute, so usually it’s actually part of other wins, rather than contribute to its own.
Roulette Wheel Bonus
The image of the Roulette Wheel is going to be used for one of the scatter symbols. At least three Roulette Wheels need to be present, for you to get their bonus game. Obviously, the feature will use the roulette wheel to deliver a cash prize, using the total bet of the round and multiplying it.
Scattered Card Hand icons will be your triggers for the Card Bonus, if there are three of them in view. You select a card that is shown, and you will get a prize from it. It’s going to be in the form of a multiplier for the total stake. 500X the stake is the most you can win, so the feature can deliver the $250,000 jackpot as well.
The Dice icon is the third scatter of the game, one that you’re going to see only on the reels 2, 3 and 4. Together, these three scatters will get you in the free spins feature. You pick one of the symbols, to find out the number of triggered free spins. If additional sets of three scatters appear after that, the free spins re-trigger.
The theme is mostly gambling related, but the majority of the symbols that you’re going to see on the reels will be made up of Royals. Otherwise, you get a single regular symbol that’s showing the Cashino logo, and then we get to the Wild Joker and to scatter symbols which have images of roulette wheels, card hands and dice. It’s a cartoon style design, it works well enough, but there is nothing impressive there.
Cashino is one of the Barcrest slot machines, and a decent game to be playing overall. It offers more features than the average slot, but has a lower RTP even as it gives away huge rewards.
