EGT Interactive is a company that develops content for the land-based and the online gambling markets. It’s based in Bulgaria, in the country’s capital, Sofia. It’s definitely not a new company, as they’ve been around this industry since 2002.

The company is known for their slot machines by a lot of online players, but that’s not all they have. From electronic roulette, to gaming machines, jackpot systems, mobile platforms and even semi-electronic blackjack, these are all developed and offered by EGT for online or offline locations.

History of EGT

The founding date of EGT goes back to 2002, so this is one of the veterans of the gambling industry. They’ve grown fast enough even before Bulgaria joined the European Union in 2007, but since 2008 they started expanding even at a faster rate, as that year they moved to a new facility which allowed for a lot more employees to work there. More than 800 people are employed at their offices right now. With Bulgaria now part of the European Union, EGT continued to expand, reaching America and Asia as well in the last decade. Over 60 countries from all five continents have players trying out content from EGT.

More than 120 slot machines are available from EGT, a developer that’s not even 100% focused on this side of the casino industry. They have this large collection of games, but in their case I’d say that quantity is the name of the strategy they’re going for, and quality is not on their list as often as I’d like.

The developer’s newer collection appears to be designed with certain players in mind, those that prefer simpler themes and graphics, the fruit angle being used in a lot of cases. You will discover that in games like 100 Burning Hot, 5 Burning Heart, 40 Mega Clover and a lot of other slots which will tell you from the title how many lines they’re offering. Luckily, if you go back a bit, you start seeing slot machines with more interesting stories to tell, and I would mention titles like The Big Journey, Thumbelina’s Dream, Legendary Rome or Magellan.

Even with the more interesting games, the graphics of the EGT slots will be good only as far as the feature or high paying symbols are concerned. Move on to the lower positions, and you get basic Royals which don’t look impressive at all. The designs offered by EGT might be great for their land-based machines, but online slots have competition from the likes of NetEnt, and they’re not good enough for that. If the graphics aren’t that important to you, then the games might still work out, as they have other things to offer.

When it comes to the features which will be used, the EGT slots tend to follow a certain recipe, where they use wilds, scatters and free spins, to which they add some type of additional bonus, extra wild, multiplier, re-spins, etc. They give each game something to make them slightly unique, in addition to a different story/design.

The payouts in these games will usually be set to a relatively low/medium amount, somewhere between 1,000x and 3,000x the stake as maximum potential for one round.

Popular Titles

EGT is not that popular of a developer, but there are a couple of titles of theirs which I found to be promoted by casinos. Games like 40 Super hot, Shining Crown and Book of Magic are available and enjoyed by more players than their other titles.

Highest RTP Games

I couldn’t find information on the RTP of all EGT slot machines, but some do have it public, and there are several choices for you to pick from. Dragon Hot is the title which stands out the most, since its RTP is set to 98.33%, giving players one of the better returns that a slot can offer. More regular games RTP wise include the likes of Burning Hot (96.45%), Zodiac Wheel (96.45%), Dragon Reels (96.44%) and Royal Secrets (96.37%).
