Big Vegas

Big Vegas

The many joys and dangers of Las Vegas are front and center in this slot machine from Bally, the game focusing on the gambling and pleasures of this city. From dice and poker chips, to keys to the High Roller suite, there is but one step in this cartoon-style slot machine.

The game is going to be playable over a setup with 5 reels which get 40 active lines. There are enough free spins, multipliers, wilds and scatters to be had inside, that the RTP for the slot ends up at a respectable 95.8%. At the same time, the game will have a reward to give directly, but it will not go higher than $45,000, even with multipliers involved.

Betting

As many other games do, when they have 40 lines in use, the betting of Big Vegas will start from a minimum value of $0.40. This places a wager of just $0.01 on each line, so don’t expect for huge rewards to be yours based on an investment like that. Go higher though, even as high as $400 with the total bet, and the resulting line bets of up to $10 will bring you better rewards.

Big Vegas Jackpot

The game’s jackpot will be coming via five Wild Logo symbols, when they cover one of the 40 lines completely. It’s a 1,500x jackpot that could be yours in that case, and the actual cash value could reach $15,000 during your paid spins. You get to triple that amount for the free spins, where a $45,000 jackpot is not out of the question.

I like what I’m seeing in this game in term of payouts, especially based on the Return to Player percentage, which Bally has announced at 95.8% for this game. It’s close enough to the 96% from where most slots start looking good.

Special Features

Big Vegas is not the sort of game where you’d go if you wanted something that makes big waves. It’s going to rely on regular features, and will use them as part of a design with a common theme. Those that aren’t feeling particularly adventurous when picking their games will probably appreciate what’s offered.

Wild Symbols

Simple Wild Logos, with sparkly backgrounds colored in blue or pink, will be substituting for the various regular symbols that you’re trying to form combinations with. You can have them used that way, and most of the time that’s how they’re going to help you out, but sometimes they will find themselves arranged three to five times on one line, and from left to right. At that point, they pay their own prizes, of up to 1,500x.

Free Spins With Multipliers And Directional Wilds

With the Free Games Lounge icons in view, on all the reels on which they’re allowed to appear (2, 3 and 4), you will be getting the slot’s most exciting feature. The free spins are activated next, and they bring you tripled wins and possibly some directional wilds as well. As a downside, I’d note the fact that the free spins can’t be re-triggered, an option that would’ve been very useful.

Sometimes, as you play through the free spins, a Directional Wild may appear on reel 3. It will have an arrow which will point in a direction, giving you one or more Purple Wilds which get locked in their position for the entire duration of the free games.

Design

Bally isn’t going for a realistic design with Big Vegas. Though they use images of slots, of keys to High Roller Suites, stacks of poker chips, playing cards, cocktails and dice, they’re all cartoon-style icons, and not very realistic. For the other symbols that they used, there are a couple of logos and four Royals. It might not be a big production, not compared with some of the other slots of these days, but it’s not unpleasant either.

Summary

Big Vegas has the features to make it an attractive choice, along with an RTP that’s good enough even for a modern slot. It’s not going to be the best game around, but for a Las Vegas themed game it’s not bad.
