Review of Bally’s Quick Hit Pro Slot Machine

Quick Hit Pro from Bally is a popular online slot machine designed by Bally Interactive, and it’s the next in a line of games that include Quick Hit Las Vegas, Quick Hit Black Gold, and Quick Hit Platinum. This review is intended to provide a basic overview of the slot, from denominations and symbols to the unique bonus round. The Quick Hit Pro slot has a total of 40 paylines. The number of lines played is not adjustable, which means you’ll have access to all 40 when it comes time to determine the outcome of a spin.

This Bally Technologies slot machine emphasizes substance over style. Some slots have a theme such as Egypt or the Old West, but this game is more of a no-frills model. It’s a collection of basic gaming icons such as cherries and playing card values, with a random bonus round tacked on for good measure.

Coin Denominations and Betting Limits

Before you spin, you’ll need to determine how much you want to wager on each payline. This amount, multiplied by 40, determines the overall cost of a single spin. Denomination options are as follows, with each value being expresses in euros.

The coin options in Quick Hit Pro are $0.01, $0.02, $0.03, $0.04, $0.05, $0.06, $0.07, $0.08, $0.09, $0.10, $0.15, $0.20, $0.50, $1.00, $5.00, and $10.00. This means that the lowest cost for a spin is 0.40, while the most expensive is 400. The betting options aren't quite as flexible in this game, but most gamblers should find a bet level they are comfortable playing.

Quick Hit Pro Game Symbols

A number of symbols can appear on the reels during the base game of Quick Hit Pro. This section lists each possibility and discusses how much they’re worth to the player. For the three bells and cherries symbols, five symbols pay $250, four symbols pay $100, and three symbols pay $40. When you get hands with either Ace, Kings, or Queens, then five of any one of of those symbols pay $100, four symbols pay $50, and three symbols pay $10.

When you get a combination of either Jack, 10s, or 9s, you receive the same payouts. For the jack, 10-card, or 9-card, five symbols pay 50, four symbols pay 15 coins, and three symbols pay 5 coins.

Wild Symbols

The wild symbol (which says "WILD") substitutes for any of the other symbols on the game, except for scatter pays. The payouts for 5, 4, and 3 wild symbols by themselves is $50.00, $12.50, and $5.00, respectively.

Quick Hit Pro Scatter Symbols

The Quick Hit Pro symbol triggers a $12.50, $5.00, and $2.00 payout when you receive 5, 4, or 3 of them. The basic Quick Hit icon are scatter pay symbols, which means they can show up anywhere on the reels during a spin. They do not appear during the prochinko bonus spins.

In order to receive a payout, you’ll need to get at least four of them on the reels. If this happens, you’ll win back the amount of your original wager. Five symbols pay 5x your wager, while six provide winnings equal to 10x. The most lucrative combinations include 250x for nine, 750x for 10, and 1,500x for 11 or more.

Free Games

During the base game, this symbol can appear on reels two through four. Nothing happens if they turn up on just two reels, but getting a hit on all three results in the prochinko free spins being unlocked. These symbols do not appear during the bonus phase. The free mode is the signature game in the Quick Hit Series. During this phase of play, gamblers can win massive payouts. In Quick Hit Pro, the payouts appear in the "Prachinko" mode.

Prachinko Bonus Round

Triggered by hitting the Free Games symbols on reels two through four, the bonus round is influenced by the pachinko arcade games popular throughout Japan. For this slot machine, Bally created a portmanteau of "pachinko" and "pro" (from "Quick Hit Pro"). The resulting game mode's name is "Prachinko".

In the Prachinko Bonus Round, the player receives 15 free spins, with the Free Games and Quick Hit symbols being replaced on the reels by silver balls. If a silver ball turns up on the reels during a free spin, it is moved to the top of the screen. Up to 20 spheres can be collected in this fashion.

When the spins have ended, the player is directed to pull a virtual plunger and unleash the collected balls, like they would in a Pachinko machine. The Pachinko balls descend from the top of the screen and bounce past obstacles to land in multiplier basins at the bottom. Depending on how many collect in the basin, you receive the following multipliers.

  • 11 or symbols = 7500x Multiplier
  • 10 symbols = 5000x Multiplier
  • 9 symbols = 2500x Multiplier
  • 8 symbols = 1000x Multiplier
  • 7 symbols = 100x Multiplier
  • 6 symbols = 50x Multiplier
  • 5 symbols = 10x Multiplier
  • 4 symbols = 5x Multiplier
  • 3 symbols = 1x Multiplier

Sound Effects and Graphics

While Quick Hit Pro from Bally looks and plays like a professional virtual slot, it's not going to overwhelm anyone with its sound effects, music, or graphics. None of the symbols are animated, and the sound effects often reminded me of games I played on the Nintendo NES in the 1980s. While those of us with nostalgia for that era of gaming might like it, most slot machine aficionados won't appreciate their charms.

Auto Play Feature

This button, which looks like two arrows moving in an infinite circle, allows the player to open another menu. From there, they may choose a certain number of games to be played automatically. Once the number is selected (options include 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25), click "OK" to begin the series of spins. If you want to stop the process at any time, click the "Start" button.
