A well-established company in the online gambling market, Play’n GO got an early start, being founded in 1997. It’s a Swedish company, which is based in Vaxjo. Initially starting out as a subcontractor for other companies, eventually they became independent in 2004. These days, they offer a collection of more than 140 games, the majority of which are slot machines.

The gaming licenses which are used by Play’n GO come from highly respected countries, and this is one big plus for them. UK, Gibraltar, Malta and Alderney are the ones providing them with their gaming licenses. On top of that, their games get audited by TST, and they’re considered fair to the players.

The company also has GAT, or Gaming Account Toolkit, a platform which includes a complex back-office. There are more than 80 games present on it, translated in 40 languages.

History of Play’n Go

The beginning of Play’n GO’s history is in Vaxjo, a town in Sweden, back in 1997. The initial years they were subcontractors which designed games for others, and so not much is known about their accomplishments in that initial period. They created their own company in 2004, and they began creating content under the Play’n GO name.

They merged with Jadestone in 2010, which gave them a boost and improved the quality of the designs they offered in games.

The company continued to expand year after year, opening offices in countries like Malta, Hungary or Philippines. They also got licenses from several of the most respected jurisdictions, proving what they’re willing to do to keep things fair and safe for players.

Over 200 employees go to work at Play’n GO’s offices these days, making them one of the average sized developers, but definitely growing fast.

Games

140+ casino games are in Play’n Go’s collection, and it’s one of the highest quality mix of games that you can find online. These are slot machines for the most part, but you will also encounter scratch cards, table games and video poker. The graphics, features and the RTP all tend to be excellent, and so you will have a lot to enjoy if you check them out.

First of all, I should mention the high quality of the graphics they use. This is one of the best developers you will run across online, and in terms of design there are only a few that can compete with them. I expect every single release of theirs to be impressive, and I’m rarely disappointed.

In terms of potential, games like Book of Dead could pay up to 5,000x the stake, but an impressive reward isn’t always guaranteed.

For the game features, they’re not shy about using new technologies and features, so expect to find Cluster Pays, giant symbols, big multipliers, and all sorts of other exciting options.

My general opinion of their slot machines is that they have to at least be tried, provided that you know what kind of RTP they have. The design, features, payouts and RTP are generally above average in every area.

Popular Titles

Popular games from Play’n GO include the likes of Book of Dead (5,000x payouts), Rise of Olympus, Sizzling Spins, Legacy of Egypt or Reactoonz, though the list continues. They have a fairly large number of games that are heavily promoted by casinos. One of their more popular series is based on a character called Hugo, a cute little troll that’s having all sorts of adventures.

Highest RTP Games

First of all, when it comes to RTP, there are both good and bad news as far as Play’n GO is concerned. While this developer consistently offers slot machines with an RTP of at least 96%, they are also known for offering casinos the possibility to change this setting in games. For that reason, unless it’s specified by the casino or in the paytable, there is no way of knowing if you’re getting the highest RTP possible, or if it’s been lowered. Apparently, the RTP can drop to just 84%. For this reason, I would strongly recommend you try out Play’n GO slots only if the casino mentions the RTP for their games. Several casinos will do that, and I’d recommend you seek them out.

Now, let’s take a look at the Return to Player figures that we have for Play’n GO slots, and at the ones which are highest. Lucky Mermaid (98.50%), Golden Legacy (98.25%), Diamond Diggin (98.24%), Lucky Pets (98.20%), House of Doom (97% and High volatility) and Rage to Riches (97%), these are all excellent examples of high RTP Play’n GO slots.
