Zeus Play is a company which is still in its early days, having been established in 2012. It’s a Bulgarian company, which is based in the city of Blagoevgrad. With dozens of slot machines released already, along with casino software and lottery games, they’ve kept quite busy since they launched, and they have a lot to offer right now. Its license is from an excellent jurisdiction, the Maltese Gaming Authority being the one supervising the activity of this company.
One of the notable things about this company is that it’s getting games tested by Gaming Labs International, a reputed auditor which insures that they have fair games to offer. There is no funny business going on there, so you can safely check out their slots and other types of games. A second certification appears to have been obtained from iTechLabs.
The company mentions that their gaming platform already has more than 50 games to offer in the Slots category, along with half a dozen lottery games. In just 5+ years, the company’s games have reached more than 100 online casinos already, so they shouldn’t be that hard to find.
History of Zeus Play
Zeus Play might have been founded only a couple of years ago, in 2012, but the founders which created the company had more than 20 years of experience already. The Bulgarian city of Blagoevgrad is the birth place of this company and their headquarters are still based there.
In just 6+ years, Zeus Play has managed to develop more than 50 casino games, to create their own software for casino operators to use, and then to be the choice for 100+ online casinos, according to their own site. Land-based operators are not neglected either, and the company has solutions ready for gaming halls and betting shops.
The game collection available from Zeus Play is giving us more than 50 slot machines, along with lottery games, dice games, Keno and European roulette. The focus is clearly on the slot machines, since most categories are dedicated to them. They have slots with 5 reels, 9 reels, 4 reels, 3 reels, and then there is also the special NGX line which holds some of their newer and more modern releases. The majority of their games are going to fall into the 5 reels category though.
With those 9 reels games offered, among all the other slot machines, it’s clear that Zeus Play does like innovating, at least once in a while. It’s giving us a good mix of slot machines here, games with pretty graphics which are theme appropriate often enough. I’ve noticed the attention to detail when it comes to the design of their symbols, which is always nice to see. The use of Royals in some games is understandable, although not appreciated.
As I mentioned already, there are some 9 reels included here, and those are worth explaining. They actually behave like there are 10 reels there, with only 9 visible. The one in the middle is shared between two sets of reels, so they form combinations of 5 symbols each (starting either from the left or from the right side). It’s a cool mechanic, and an easy way to give the player a different experience.
The payouts can be low or high, and I’ve seen rewards ranging anywhere from 50,000 to 1,500,000 coins. The disappointing bit so far has been the Return to Player percentage. More on that at the end of our review.
I’ve discovered quite a few games which appear to be popular, at least for the casinos where this developer is present. The titles which I’d mention are Infinium, Dark Ninja, Captain Nelson Deluxe, Mad Cubes and Butterfly Classic.
Highest RTP Games
The games I’ve seen Zeus Play release can look good, but when it comes to their RTP, I have my reservations. While I could only find the RTP for about three dozen of their slot machines, there was only one with a decent figure, of 96.30%, and that game was The Explorer’s Quest. The next best ones were set to 95%, including here titles like Captain Nelson Deluxe, 40 Flaming Lines or Legend of the Sea. Plenty of others were lower than that.
